Grand Opening Set For New Location of Summit Park Church in Lee’s Summit

Summit Park Church will hold a Grand Opening celebration on Sunday, March 6th at their brand new location in Lee’s Summit. Special services will be held at 9:00 and 10:45am at 2818 NE Independence Ave, Lee’s Summit, MO 64064.

The new leased location is the second site for the church that is now two and a half year
s old. The church originally started meeting each week at Harris Park Community Center. Scott Obremski, Lead Pastor at Summit Park, said that he thinks it’s been a good thing for the church to start in a community center. “It really allowed us to have a focus on people and not solely on a building.”

Scott said once the church began averaging over 500 people each week, the need for a place to call home became pretty apparent. The church now leases just over 15,000 square feet that used to be the f’real milkshakes’ previous location. Obremski said the leadership was excited to move into a space that didn’t look or feel like a traditional church. He hopes the unique feel of the church will make it a frequented meeting place for the community, and a place that people who didn’t grow up in church will feel comfortable visiting.

Services at the new location began last December after a “soft opening” where the church simply set up all their portable equipment in the new space. Since then the church has been getting everything ready for the Grand Opening in March. The church also anticipates a lot of people to visit on Easter Sunday where they will have four services to accommodate all the new guests.

Obremski said Summit Park Church is really just a normal group of everyday, imperfect people following and experiencing an exceptionally perfect God. If you’d like more information about SPC or about the Grand Opening visit summitparkchurch.com.
