This past couple of weeks have been an exciting time here at J29 Creative Group. After four years, we have relocated from our beloved Brookside office to a new and vibrant location in the Downtown Kansas City Garment District. With this move comes the birth of many valuable opportunities for our agency. Namely, the opportunity for change.
This new season got us thinking about just how influential change is in the digital marketing space. Change is the basis of growth not only in our lives but in marketing strategy. As digital marketers, in order to yield productive, prosperous results, we must become cognizant of the changes in our environment. Its simple, companies that don’t adapt to change, don’t grow. Seldom does one hear of companies that stuck to their old ways as prospering. Just the opposite, this reluctance to change causes these companies to stay stagnant. Here at J29, we strive to be students of our environment, wherever it may be.
We believe that in order to understand a culture, you must first commit to being apart of that culture. This means talking to everyday people, learning their stories. By adapting to change, you as a marketer are able to create a message that will resonate with your audience. Just as Charles Darwin famously once said “It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent. It is the one that is most adaptable to change.” This quote rings true not only for the survival of species in the wild but the survival of digital marketing in 2019.
This new chapter at our agency has been a source of inspiration for us and we are eager to immerse ourselves into Downtown’s electrifying culture. This location not only sparks change within J29 but further advances our opportunity. As digital marketers, we’re looking forward to providing better digital services to our clients. We’re inspired to explore a new demographic of consumers and better understand their stories. We are able to give back to the Kansas City community in new, exciting ways by bringing awareness to the importance of digital marketing. One way we hope to achieve this is by hosting interactive digital marketing workshops. These will serve to educate and help our community understand what it means to have a digital-first outlook.
We can already see the spirited, lively destination we are fortunate enough to be a part of that is Downtown Kansas City. This area is not only historic, but It acts as a beacon for art, entertainment, and culture. This move has not only inspired us but advanced our opportunity as digital marketers.
