Do Work CrossFit, in Lees Summit, MO, is operated by Robby McCord and his wife, Melanie McCord. It began with a dream of helping people, not just on the outside, but on the inside. The good-hearted, Christian caretakers of Lees’ Summit CrossFit, started with purpose of fulfilling their desire for fitness and being able to give to others. They believe that in giving you will receive. They have both, formally, been involved in sports and athletics through high school and college and saw the CrossFit sport as an opportunity to get back into training others and help them to get stronger. They are an amazing team, with a passion to bring health to the Community and see lives change. Their journey has led them to start this facility under the roof of a Boost facility and now moved to an independent building across the street to fulfill his dream. Through this great partnership with Boost and some great social media marketing, it has been boosting them into all the things they feel God has for their lives ahead.

Their focus, as a community, is in being a team but also they focus on the health and fitness of each individual. The atmosphere is electric with the smiles and the friendly faces of great people. You aren’t only getting a great workout, you are building relationships and getting the support of everyone around you. Every time you show up for a class or to exercise on your own, you are greeted with a warm welcome and are made to feel comfortable to jump right in and accomplish your goals. The overall goal is to beat your own score. So, even though you are able to move at your own pace, you are constantly encouraged to compete with yourself to do better. This is a great workout environment with a team to hold you accountable and also friends to pat you on the back! They are all an amazing team, with a passion to bring health to the community and see lives change.

How do they get themselves out there, you ask? As leaders and as a business, they believe in the creative use of marketing, which we mentioned previously, to help drive people their way. They have integrated great ways to use their social media marketing to drive traffic to their box. One great project they did recently was to facilitate a “grand opening,” which led to the building of their business through social media marketing leads and multiplication of memberships through member referrals. With their passion for helping others, for the sport of CrossFit, and with the help of affordable social media marketing, they were able to double their memberships and affect the lives of more people in a quicker amount of time. Word of mouth is always a plus, but with the new generation of smart phone holders, they knew they’d have to get a good social presence online and keep pressing into making their mark in Kansas City.
